uw-whitewater invite recap
While this meet took a lot longer than expected, at least those of us who raced Whitewater instead of Crazylegs or going to Mifflin shared some laughs watching the victims of the steeplechase water pit.
Despite the intense winds, there were successful races all around! Most significantly, Kevin Dado, Evan Routhier, and Andre Hesini took 4th, 5th, and 6th respectively in the 1500m. Autumn Wickman finished in 3rd in the 800m (2:23.24), as well as 2nd in the 400m (1:00.57).

Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for people to help with the Oregon High School Special Olympics Track Meet May 5th from 12:30-4pm. In addition, we need volunteers for field and/or monitor relay exchanges on May 8th (field and running both start at 4pm) and/or May 11th (3:30pm for field and running for 4pm) at Madison East High School for the Big 8 Conference Meet. If you are able to help, please sign up here.
Summer!
Practice?
We will poll members who are staying in Madison in the summer to try and form practice times that work best for the majority of us. Last year, we had 7:15am and 5:30pm runs. Otherwise, use herdfinder or the summer running group chat to find running buddies!
Moovin' 5k
More details to come, but this is one of our primary fundraisers in the summer so we need volunteers! We use some of the proceeds to fund traveling to meets and donate some of the money to ACT. It is on June 2nd @ 9am. For those that are staying in Madison or live close, put the date in your calendars! Click here for more information.
Summer Track Series
The Summer Track Series is a set of meets for all ages. The meets are held at area high schools (June 14 and June 21 at Oregon High School, and June 28 and July 12 at Verona Area High School). Registration starts at 5pm. We need LOTS of volunteers for this! Please consider helping out. Kaylee will be sending out more info soon. Otherwise, visit our website for details.
