Lawrence
Kicking off the month of October races was the Gene Davis Invite held at Lawrence University. We had a small herd of cows braving the rain and dreary day but it was still a good showing by all. On the women’s side, leading the cows to a 4th place finish overall was Madi Pape who came in 6th place with a time of 24:10. Right behind her, and also earning a t-shirt was Allie Levin who came in 9th place with a time of 24:18. Rounding off the scoring team was Kaylee Sadeghpour-Hess (25:25), Zoe Panos (25:38), and Hannah Sorensen (26:13). On the men’s side, the cows were lead by Evan G. Kohl, who came in 14th with a time of 27:29. Right behind him was Brett Jones who ran 27:43 for 18th place. Finishing off the scoring was Matt Kuik (28:11), Matt Ammel (28:13), and Luke Kubasta (28:14). The men also took 4th place.
Kollege Town INvite
A nice herd of cows laced up their hooves for the Kollege Town Invite hosted by UW Oshkosh. On the women’s side, Madi Pape came across the line first with a time of 23:50 and she was followed by Hannah Moulton (24:31), Megan Buechel (24:55), Kaylee Sadeghpour-Hess (25:00), and Hannah Sorensen (25:14). On the men’s side we had Evan Routhier leading the way finishing 55th with a time of 27:06. Following Evan was Matt Ammel (27:20), Evan Kohl (27:25), Brett Jones (27:26), and Brandon Radzom (28:16).
Regionals
Both the men’s and women’s teams came home with a 3rd place finish at regionals this season. On the men’s side we had 24 cows competing and there were many great showings by all. Leading the ways was Dylan Souder earning an All-Regional honor pacing the cows by coming in 3rd with a time of 26:17. Following Dylan was Kevin Dado and Evan Routhier who ran 27:28 and 27:31 respectively. Wrapping up the team score was Matt Kuik and Evan G Kohl (37:38 and 27:59). The women brought 9 fine cows to compete and even with smaller numbers they still proved to be a top contender of the regional. Coming across the line first for the cows was Rissa Lane who placed 3rd, and she was followed by Madi Pape (23:54) and Megan Buechel (24:32) who came in 6th and 9th all earning All-Regional honors. Rounding off the team score was Kaylee Sadeghpour-Hess (26:19) and Molly Baus (26:22).
Coming off two 3rd place finishes puts the cows in a good spot going into the NIRCA National Championship. WTC has a great group of cows representing them this year, go get’em at Nationals Cows! Be on the lookout for the Pre-Nationals Cow Cast as well!
Thanks to Luke Kubasta and Rissa Lane for snapping some great pics of the meet!

Do you know a cow who represents the social spirit of being a cow? What about a member who puts a lot of work in behind the scenes to make sure the club runs smoothly (pun intended)? Or a new member who has made a huge impact on the season? These along with many more, are all questions you need to answer in order to vote for WTC awards that will be handed out during the dinner! Turkey Trot
While Nats may be a big race of the year, is it truly the premier event of the season with the Turkey Trots just a few weeks away?! These incredible races give us a chance to rule Turkey Day with our WTC pride, taking names and getting free pie while repping WTC gear as we race away the Calories before Thanksgiving feasts! Whether you’re in Wisconsin, Minnesota, New Jersey, or any other part of the country, be sure to register so cows are running with the turkeys this November!
