BADGER CLASSIC RECAP

Our cows raced against the big dogs this weekend at the Badger Classic! S/O to Autumn Wickman who ran for the girls and our freshmen on the boys side! Way to represent! Here are the results!

Kickoff meeting

We will be having a kickoff meeting on Thursday, September 12th at 8:15, in the humanities building, room 2650! It is a very important meeting to go to for lots of info about this coming season, we encourage all interested/new/old students to come! Rumor has it there will be pizza...

Just wanted to quickly give a shoutout to everyone who helped out at the Ironman! These volunteering events help bring funding to our club, which lowers all of your fees! And an even bigger shoutout to out VP's Brian and Kaylee for being the captains of our aid station! We <3 u!

SPRINTERS STARTING PRACTICE

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm at McClimon track (if weather permits)! Our VP's of sprinters have workouts for you speedy folk out there! They will be added to the bulletin weekly...starting next week:)

Monday, September 9th during practice! So show up to practice ready to run and play ultimate!

 

Board members eat at dining halls

Heyyyyy freshmen!!! Get to know your board members! We will be eating at Four Lakes and Gordon's dining hall's on Tuesday, September 10th! We will let you know what time we are planning on eating and will have signs so you know where we are! If you have questions it will be a great place to get answers!

DISTANCE 3-7 miles easy 2-6 x 1k reps @ CV w/ 60 sec recovery (Vilas)

2-6 x 300 @ VO2 or faster

Jog to Edgewood Hill 5 x 10 sec. Hill sprints

3-7 miles easy Warm-up (1.5-2 miles) to Vilas Park 

Progression Run (2-6 miles) use markers

Start 10-30 seconds per mile pace and cut down 5-10 seconds per mile down to tempo pace then hold pace to finish

5x 10 second hill sprints on Edgewood hill

Pre-meet

2-6 miles with strides and drills

Border Battle 10k Long Run 8-12 miles depending on summer volume Border Battle 10k

SIGN UP FOR WTC AT IMLEAGUES AND PLEASEEEE FILL OUT YOUR FORMS

There are 3 forms every member has to fill out once they request membership through IMLeagues. All the information is on our website under membership. These 3 forms (membership consent form, supplementary health waiver, and Wisconsin track club membership form) all need to be completed in order to compete in any meet.

All club members are required to fill out this safety module!!!! Here it is!

become an authorized driver

Basically ,we need authorized drivers in order to drive to meets so if you are from Wisconsin, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU to become an authorized driver. It is very easy:) All the info is here under step 3.

 

Pay your dues

Pay your semester dues of $30 to the venmo account (@WiscoTC). We keep track of everyone who has paid their dues because you must pay in order to compete in meets!
