Club Officers – 2017

Elected Officers

PRESIDENT:
Kevin Boyle
email: krboyle@wisc.edu
Hello fellow Cows, my name is Kevin and I am the President of WTC. I'm currently a senior studying Environmental Economics. Besides running I enjoy reading, playing boardgames, maybe playing some League of Legends if I'm feeling risky and just having a good time with friends. I'm currently the interim coach for the Men's Mid-Distance Program, so if you have any questions about training or anything club related, feel free to shoot me an email!

VICE PRESIDENT OF MEN’S DISTANCE:
Matt Kuik
email: mkuik@wisc.edu
Hey Cows! My name is Matt, and I’m your Vice President of Male Distance. I’m from Waupun, Wisconsin and am currently a junior in the Kinesiology: Exercise and Movement Science program here at the UW with the goal of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I prefer cross country over track, but the 3K steeplechase is undeniably the greatest of all running related races. In track, I’ll do anything from 800 and up (will occasionally do the 4×400 if my life depends on it). I go to as many practices, meets, and socials as I possibly can, so I’ll definitely see you around! If you have any questions about the club, the Kines program, or life (deep philosophical questions welcome), feel free to send ‘em my way!

VICE PRESIDENT OF WOMEN'S DISTANCE:
Megan Buechel
email: buechel2@wisc.edu
Hi Cows! My name is Megan and I am the new Vice President of Women's Distance now that Sara is away at a co-op. I am a junior majoring in Biology with the intention of going to pharmacy school. I love to run cross country as well as distance events in track. In addition to cows I am also a big fan of goats. I hope to see you all at practice and meets, and if you have any questions, or just want to talk about goats, just let me know!

VICE PRESIDENT OF SPRINTS:
Max Ritzow
email: ritzow@wisc.edu
Hello fellow bovines, my name is Max Ritzow and I'm your Vice President of Sprints. I'm a junior from Appleton, Wisconsin and I’m studying Electrical & Computer Engineering. While I focus on distances 400m and under, there have been sightings of me doing a long run. If you don’t see me at practice I’m probably at Chipotle or on my computer playing League of Legends. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the sprints, jumps, hurdlers, or throws practices (male or female) and I’ll try to help you out as best I can! See you on the track!

SECRETARY:
Stephanie Rink
email: rink2@wisc.edu
Secretary of WTC, Bio major, long distance. My favorite hobby is magnets, and I really like ghouls.

TREASURER:
Izak Oltman

email: ioltman@wisc.edu
I'm a junior majoring in Math with a certificate in physics. I'm from Madison, Wisconsin and went to Madison West High School. Apart from running and Mathing, I also like to play the violin. My favorite book is Cloud Atlas, my favorite movie is The Prestige, and I don't know how to spell the word 'paralel'.

MEET COORDINATOR:
Ryan Diedrich

email: rdiedrich@wisc.edu
Hey Cows, my name is Ryan Diedrich and I'm a junior here at UW, with this also being my third year in Track Club. I'm double majoring in Actuarial Science and Risk Management & Insurance, and aside from Track Club I'm also involved with the Actuarial Science Club. This year in the WTC I am your meet coordinator, which means that I'm responsible for planning both the track and cross country schedules, contacting coaches, submitting your meet entries, and overall making sure the meets are as enjoyable as possible. With that being said, if you ever have any questions regarding meets, don't hesitate to contact me via email (rdiedrich@wisc.edu) or through Facebook. Let's have a great year! #CowsAchieve

TRAVEL COORDINATOR:
Nick Feyen
email: nfeyen@wisc.edu
Hey Cows! My name is Nick Feyen and I'm originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and graduated from Fond du Lac High School. Here at the Wisconsin School of Business I am double-majoring in Finance and Risk Management Insurance. I enjoy following and partaking in all things running related with my discipline of choice being long distance specializing in events 3k and up. While the running may be my favorite thing about WTC I also love socializing with all my fellow cows. I'm always down for getting down to some Mr. Brightside. Anytime. Anywhere. In all seriousness I will be your go to guy for all things travel and race day coordination. If you have any questions about this or anything else don't be afraid to shoot me an email or to come talk to me. Hope to herd up and run a few miles with all of you! #CowsAchieve

Appointed Officers

WEBMASTER:
Luke Kubasta
email: lkubasta@wisc.edu
I don't have time to write a real bio because I'm too busy building this website, being a mechanical engineering major, and running a lot (and also photoshopping dinosaurs into running pics)

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR:
Jordyn Riemer

email: jmriemer@wisc.edu
Hey everyone! I'm Jordyn, the Volunteer Coordinator for the club and the Assistant Sprints Coach. My favorite event to run is the 200m dash. I'm currently a senior studying Psychology with a certificate in Environmental Studies. In my spare time, I watch The Office and listen to John Mayer on repeat. If anyone has any cool volunteering events they want to see started, or have any questions at all, feel free to contact me whenever. See ya on the track!

MOOSLETTER:
Megan Buechel
email: buechel2@wisc.edu
Hi Cows! My name is Megan and I am the writer of the Moosletter, which serves as the club's monthly newsletter. I am a junior majoring in Biology with the intention of going to pharmacy school. I love to run cross country as well as distance events in track. In addition to cows I am also a big fan of goats. I hope to see you all at practice and meets, and if you have any questions, or just want to talk about goats, just let me know!

SOCIAL MEDIA:
Max Loescher
email: mloescher@wisc.edu
Hello cows and yes your eyes do not betray you. I am attempting the elusive mid race dab, a moment captured in my profile pic. My name is Max, some of you may know me as Butters, and I am a junior from Hartland, Wisconsin hoping to study Finance. I am one of two social media chairs for the club so you can thank Kate and I for our social media pages being on fleek. My favorite event is the 5k but you can catch me in anything 1500 and up. Other than that, I enjoy spending time outside during all times of the year. In the winter you can find me Nordic skiing, snow skiing, or wiping out on a patch of ice. In the summer I like to toss a frisbee around or hang out on Lake Keesus. I bleed denim and firmly believe that everyone deserves a good pair of jorts. They are optimal for killer dance moves and will get you far in life. If you want a high five or have a question, feel free to hit me up! Be sure to follow @WTCcows on Instagram and Twitter. #noragrets

SOCIAL MEDIA:
Kate Abbott
email: kaabbott@wisc.edu
Mooooo! I'm Kate, one of the social media coordinators. I am a senior from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin double majoring in atmospheric and oceanic sciences and economics. I usually practice with the sprint squad and compete in the 200, 400 and 800. Outside of track I love going to Badger sporting events, playing cards and hanging out with friends. Be sure to follow all of our social media accounts for the latest and greatest WTC updates. Max and I will not disappoint! #CowsAchieve

SOCIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR:
Alex McKenna
email: admckenna@wisc.edu
Hello everyone! My name is Alex McKenna, and I'm a junior from the small village of Roberts, Wisconsin. I'm a Legal Studies and History double major, and plan to pursue a career in the State Department following graduation! I'm the Sprints Social Coordinator, and along with Distance Social Coordinator Bryan Jackler, I will be in charge of making sure that us cows have plenty of fun and friendly pastures to graze in. Pictured above is me and my lovely half-Corgi and half-Pomeranian dog Dexter on this past New Year's Eve.

APPAREL/SOCIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR:
Bryan Jackler
email: jackler@wisc.edu
What’s up everyone, I’m Bryan Jackler, a junior from Westfield, NJ (No, I don't personally know Snooki nor pronounce it “Joizy”; sorry to disappoint you) studying Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise and Movement Science. I will be both a social chair and apparel coordinator for 2017, so you will probably see me at club events quite frequently. When I'm not injured I run anything from the 800 to the 8k in cross, though I would love to run some fun 4x4s this year. If you have any questions or ideas for social events or apparel, feel free to hit me up through email (jackler@wisc.edu).

PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER:
Cameron Lane-Flehinger
email: laneflehinge@wisc.edu
Hi, I’m a sophomore from Cambridge, Mass (just outside of Boston) studying Political Science with a possible double-major in Statistics. I wish I was an 800 runner, but realistically I’ll be suffering through some 3000s and 5000s, with an occasional 1500 thrown in. I also write and take photos for the Daily Cardinal when I’m not running or sleeping. I know how much everyone likes having good photos of themselves, so feel free to hit me up whenever if you want a photo of yourself at a meet, or for any other occasion.
