Club Officers – 2018

Elected Officers

PRESIDENT:
Ryan Diedrich
email: rdiedrich@wisc.edu
Hey Cows, my name is Ryan Diedrich and I'm a senior here at UW, with this also being my fourth year in Track Club. I'm double majoring in Actuarial Science and Risk Management & Insurance, and aside from Track Club I'm also involved with the Actuarial Science Club. I’m a big cross country fan, hope to run a fast 5k this spring, and will never do the steeplechase again. Captain Jack Sparrow is my spirit animal, I can do a Rubik’s Cube in under 2 minutes, and I cry more than the average man. If you have any questions about the illustrious Wisconsin Track Club, don’t hesitate to hit up my email!

VICE PRESIDENT OF MEN'S DISTANCE:
Nick Feyen
email: nfeyen@wisc.edu
Hey Cows, my name is Nick Feyen and I will be your Vice President of Men’s Distance. I am from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and am majoring in Finance and Risk Management. My official title may be Vice President but unofficially I might be WTC’s biggest track nerd. So, if you want to talk anything track-related, I’d love nothing more. Personally, I specialize in events 3k and up, but you may see me out there trying desperately to break my high school 800 PR. I look forward to meeting many new cows on a run or at one of our socials. If you have any questions about Men’s Distance or joining WTC don’t be afraid to email me! #CowsAchieve

VICE PRESIDENT OF WOMEN'S DISTANCE:
Megan Buechel
email: buechel2@wisc.edu
Hi Cows! I’m Megan and I will be the Vice President of Women’s Distance this year. I am from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Biology this spring, and am beginning Pharmacy School this fall. I may be more of a cross country person, however I do enjoy a nice 5k on the track. When I’m not running or socializing with my fellow cows you can probably find me watching Annie (the original 1982 version of course), or hanging out with some goats. I look forward to meeting new cows at practice or any of our fabulous social events. If you have any questions about WTC please feel free to contact me!

VICE PRESIDENT OF MEN'S SPRINTS/THROWS:
Max Ritzow
email: ritzow@wisc.edu
Hello fellow bovines, my name is Max Ritzow and I'm your Vice President of Sprints. I'm a senior from Appleton, Wisconsin and I’m studying Electrical & Computer Engineering. While I focus on distances 400m and under, there have been sightings of me doing a long run. If you don’t see me at practice I’m probably at Chipotle or on my computer playing League of Legends. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the sprints, jumps, hurdlers, or throws practices (male or female) and I’ll try to help you out as best I can! See you on the track!

VICE PRESIDENT OF WOMEN'S SPRINTS/THROWS:
Laura Canapa
email: lcanapa@wisc.edu
Hey there, current and future cows, Women’s Sprints / Field VP here! I am a junior here at UW, and I’m double majoring in Nursing / Human Development and Family Studies with a certificate in Global Health. I am a sprinter; therefore, I run anywhere between 60 m and 200 m … occasionally you’ll find me running a 400 m, but consider yourself lucky if you do. In my free time (what even is free time?) I like to watch Grey’s Anatomy, run with my favorite team (WTC, of course), and enjoy everything the great city of Madison has to offer. If you’re at all interested in learning more about WTC in general, or more about what we do in Sprints / Field, please, please, please reach out to me or any of the other exec. board. I love WTC and I just know you’ll love it too!

SECRETARY:
Sam Weiler
email: sweiler3@wisc.edu
Hey cows! I’m the new secretary. I’m a junior from Neenah, WI currently trying to figure out my major. It’ll hopefully be something in the world of econ or business. If I’m not running distance for WTC, you can probably find me hiking or re-watching episodes of White Collar. I’m one of the most approachable people in this club, and I’ll always laugh at your jokes, no matter how bad they are, so definitely come run with me at practice if you’re new. 🙂 If you ever have any questions about the club, feel free to message me on facebook or shoot me an email!

TREASURER:
Matt Land

email: mland2@wisc.edu
Hello cows, my name is Matt Land, more popularly known as Mattland, and I’ll be your treasurer for the next year. Along with Nick Feyen, I’m from Fond du Lac, recently voted the most boring city in Wisconsin! I’m a junior majoring in Finance and Economics and this is my second year in WTC. Since I have no speed, I prefer running the longer races like the 5k and the 8k in cross country, but I might try my hand at a few 1500’s in the upcoming track season. I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of new cows this year and feel free to hit me up if you have any questions about money and paying for stuff.

TRAVEL COORDINATOR:
Hanna Docter
email: hdocter@wisc.edu
Hello my fast friends! My name is Hanna Docter and I’m a senior majoring in Kinesiology and working on a Certificate in Global Health. I was a sprinter throughout high school and during my freshman year on WTC, but I converted over to mid-distance and I’m not turning back! If I’m not running, you can usually find me going way too hard on the dance floor or cozying up with a good book. There is no in between. I’ll be the Travel Coordinator this year and I look forward to meeting and running with you all! If you have any questions about anything track-related (or life-related), I’m your girl. Cows achieve!

MEET COORDINATOR:
Evan Routhier

email: erouthier@wisc.edu
Mooo! My name is Evan Routhier. I am a junior from Mequon, WI studying Biochemistry and Environmental Science. I primarily run the 800 and mile. I also run with the herd for the cross country season. While my second home during the semester is Memorial Library, you’ll often find me wondering the trails of the arboretum biking outside of classes and running. In the winter I try to make it to Vilas park to play pond hockey. Good conversation topics to start with me include running stats and strategies (obviously) and Lord of the Rings. I will be creating the meet schedule and entering athletes in races they sign up for. Any questions regarding meet registration or the schedule can be directed to me; don’t be shy to ask!

Appointed Officers

WEBMASTER/PHOTOGRAPHER:
Luke Kubasta
email: lkubasta@wisc.edu
Hey cows, I'm Luke, and I'm a senior majoring in Interior Architecture. I'm responsible for making the website look good and for making you look good in running photos...all I can say is I do my best. I mostly run the 5k on the track with an occasional 3k steeplechase thrown in there, and I live for cross country races on crisp autumn days. My hobbies outside of running include backpacking, taking cool pictures that I never get around to posting on Instagram, playing piano and guitar, following pro running, and photoshopping dinosaurs into running pics. Send me a message if you're ever injured and want to go on a long bike ride instead of a run.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR:
Kaylee Sadeghpour-Hess

email: sadeghpourhe@wisc.edu
Hello Cows! My name is Kaylee Sadeghpour-Hess. I am a freshman studying Accounting. I am from DeForest, WI, which is close to Madison. My favorite track event is the 800m, 1600m, and the 4x800m, but I also love running 5K and 6K in cross country. My other hobbies beside running include watching Netflix, hanging out with friends, and yoga. I will be helping WTC members participate in volunteer events to help us bond more with the community! Feel free to message me on Facebook about volunteer events or anything else!

SOCIAL MEDIA:
Allie Levin
email: aclevin@wisc.edu
Greetings! My name is Allie, and I'm a a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering. Best places to run in Madison are inarguably the arboretum and picnic point. I'm a sucker for the longer distances and love the team aspect of cross country, but I also appreciate running in circles. In my free time, you can find me watching classic movies, upcycling clothing, dancing around my apartment, or wandering trails. College is all about balance, and I'm a firm believer that WTC creates the perfect environment for students to thrive academically, athletically, and socially! I love finding new people to run with so don't hesitate to reach out!

SOCIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR:
Becca Murray
email: rmurray6@wisc.edu
Hey Cows! I’m Becca Murray and I am a Sophomore studying Chemical Engineering. I’ll be your Social Event cow this year, so get jazzed for some pretty awesome social events! Although Cross Country is my all time favorite, I also love track season and run in the 800, 1600, and occasionally I do hurdles (if I’m feeling extra snazzy). Aside from running, I’m also super into music and love to sing and play guitar. If you haven’t seen them yet, I’m also known for my “interesting” dance moves. If you have any suggestions or ideas for fun social events, feel free to message me on Facebook!

WOMEN'S APPAREL COORDINATOR:
Sabrina Belisle
email: sbelisle2@wisc.edu
Hey Cows, I'm Sabrina Belisle and am a junior here studying nutritional sciences-dietetics. I am originally from Lakeville, MN. My favorite race is the mile but I also enjoy a good 4x800 once in a while and run some 6ks in the fall. I'm a big advocate for cross training because I'm always getting injured so if you ever want to swim hit me up. When I have some free time you can catch me baking, crocheting, knitting or sewing. If you ever want to learn some of my crafts hit me up, I love to share my knowledge. I'll be designing the women's apparel this year and am excited to meet some new cows this upcoming season! If you have any questions or just want a new friend on track club please don't hesitate, you can message me on Facebook or email me! (:

MEN'S APPAREL COORDINATOR:
Payton Cummings
email: pccummings@wisc.edu
Hello, Cows. I’m Payton Cummings, currently a freshman here studying finance. I’ll be taking care of all your pasteurization and apparel needs this year to keep your hides fresh. Besides trotting around with the cows in mid-distance events, I spend my time consuming movies, Netflix, and Xbox, and being with friends. As well as appreciating the iconic works of Kanye West, Hedi Slimane, and Raf Simmons. If you would like to send any suggestions or inspiration for the apparel you will be wearing to me please feel free. Stay fine, Bovines.
